Mission, Vision, Purpose

MISSION STATEMENT:

"We teach and disciple students in Christian
faith, wisdom, and knowledge"

Vision:
Concordia Schools Los Angeles changes lives through intellectual inquiry and encounters with God’s Word in an environment rich with faith, integrity, and compassion. Committed Christian educators who are positive role models challenge students to achieve academically and grow spiritually in a safe, caring, and nurturing environment. Our student body is ethnically, culturally, and economically diverse reflecting the communities that we serve.

Purpose:

Since 1953, our students have been proud to be a part of an educational experience where Christian education in the Lutheran tradition has prepared them for college, successful careers, and the ability to live a life of purpose. Today, we honor this tradition by committing to:

  • Cultivating a strong academic foundation while nurturing spiritual, physical, and emotional development at our preschool and elementary school
  • Promoting academic success through counseling, tutoring, mentoring, and spiritual guidance, with opportunities to excel in co-curricular athletics and fine arts programs at our junior/senior high school
  • Nurturing our students’ character and faith through Biblical instruction, prayer, and chapel services on both campuses

Concordia’s mission, vision, and purpose extends beyond the classroom by providing leadership to the community. We facilitate outreach and fellowship to all through programs and opportunities to interact with Christian believers and those of other faiths and cultures.
